A Wife Wall Hanging...

Hi,
I'm off work poorly at the moment with Shingles,so had a lil wander into my craft room,think that's a sign I'm feeling better :D
I made this wall hanging with a chipboard album cover,painted with acrylic paint,then used a free image & sentiment from Create with TLC ,colourted with Promarkers & then embellished with bits from my stash.

Altered Letter "E"...

Hi,
I've popped in to show you this Paper Mache letter that I have just finished altering.It was ordered by a friend,for a new baby,she said "pink & antique".
I painted it with acrylic paint & then glossed it,rubbed down with sandpaper,paper is The Girls Paperie (Paper Girl),butterfly is chipboard covered with same paper,the flowers I made myself with a Magnolia Doohickey die & then a Sizzix 3D flower die for the middles,then popped a pearl bead in the middle.The bling is all Stampin Up!,velvet ribbon from my HUGE stash!!!

I Have Been In My Craft Room!!!...

Hello!!! I was forced into my craft room by a BIG spider that took up residence above my seat in the living room,no kidding!!!
I couldn't settle so went in my craft room & et voila!I got crafting & couldn't stop!!!
My 1st creation was the above Home Sweet Home hanger that was in my last but one Ribbon Kit from Angel Crafts (luv these kits,they have a bit of allsorts in them & feels like you get a birthday every month,lol!!!) Papers are Echo Park,Life Is Good & they are reduced,really pretty papers.

This is my 2nd creation,a lil house,sooo cute!!!

I came across the wooden blank in my local craft shop & thought it looked interesting & it certainly has been,I'm on with a 2nd one now!!!

I painted the blank in Sand acrylic paint & daubed Mother Of Pearl,here & there,papers are SU! Springtime Vintage & the bow is the matching Seam Binding Ribbon,pearls & linen thread also SU!

The lace is from my local market.

I'm really hoping this crafty spell will stick around,it's been fun.

I'm just seeing if anyone still visits my blog,as I haven't posted in months!!!

I just have no inclination to craft anymore,it's awful,I keep trying to sit in my craft room,but nothing happens.
I have even bought bits of new stash to see if it spurs me on,but still nothing.

I hope it comes back,as I really enjoyed my little hobby & enjoyed blogging.

I might shock you & myself and post something again one day!!!

Delicious Doodles Challenge #2~Celebrations...

I know this image may scare some of you,but you know me & my skulls!!!

When I saw this image,I thought it was sooo romantic,it's called "Loves Faded Memory" & it's by Delicious Doodles (£1.50)

It doesn't require much colouring,so I just coloured the rose with Copics,added some faux stitching,SU ribbon & some bling,sentiment is a rub-on.

The theme at Delicious Doodles Challenge is Celebrations & I think this card is perfect for an Anniversary.

I have just bought the latest DD Skull digi stamp too,so gonna go play with it,have a luvly weekend :o)xxx

It was a miserable rainy day yesterday so I sat & made this,the template is on Splitcoast Stampers.

Card is Paper Mill & used a Cuttlebug embossing folder,paper SU!,lace punched with MS Doily Lace,flowers made with Sizzix 3D die.

Hi! I've been gone agesssss!!! (I even forgot where my USB lead went on my camera,LOL!!!)

I never seem to get the chance to make cards anymore,so I think I will have to rectify that.

Hi! I know it's been a while!!!
I am struggling with 2 orders for cards,I can't find the images.
1st is a 4oth birthday card for 1 part of a same sex couple,she is quite masculine,so her partner wants something kinda cutesy still,maybe a teddy,but to be holding a pint or a wine glass.

2nd is a wedding card for grandparents,so was hoping to find something maybe featuring an older bride & groom.

Craft Room Progress...

Hello!!!
Just thought I would pop in & show you how my craft room is looking (a mess,lol!!!).
I remembered to take pics so I can show you before & after.
My wallpaper got delivered today & I bought a new light shade yesterday,it's v exciting,
The only thing now is the ceiling has to be painted (groan),it's a shade of Turquoise at the mo & has to be done Magnolia,Paul hates doing ceilings so I think I might have that job (deep joy).

I have had to empty some of my stash from the room & the only place for it was the dining table,I don't do clutter,so you can imagine how crazy it is driving me.It will be worth it!!!

I've had a luvly day today,my Dad,Sister & Niece came to bring me my Birthday cards & pressies for tomorrow & then my friend came with her son.
Right best crack on with the decorating,will be back with the after pics as soon as it's done :o)xxx

Hi Just wanted to let you know I'm home from Egypt,but not been crafting.
Egypt wasn't what we expected at all & we won't be going back!The weather was great,but I was v ill after a few days (spent a lot of time in the bathroom!).Paul had to go to the chemist for me & they were going to charge him £30 for a few tablets,but then decided they would accept £20!
We think it was poss the water,they were using tap water in everything,bit naughty!
So it was nice to be home & see the kids & my doggies.
I'm just in the process of decorating my craft room & have started stripping the walls today,the flooring was delivered while we were away,it's gonna be soooo posh,lol!!!

WOYWW,My New Stamps & Off On Holiday!!!...

I haven't blogged for a few days,so you're in for it now,lol!!!
OK! 1st off it's Wednesday (my day off,ahhhhh) & so of course Julia is asking "What's On Your Workdesk?"
Welllll,on Saturday my luvly Hubby Paul took me over to Skipton so I could visit The Stamp Man shop,I was sooo excited.I have to explain I'm not very confident at driving to strange places & easily get lost!!! So when I got a "yes" from Paul that he would take me,I did a lil happy dance,teehee!!!
I met the luvly Jill & Ian (waves),we had a chat & I shopped & spent money,(I'm good at that!).
This is part of what I bought,the gorgeous "Butterfly Beauties"stamp sheet by Aspects of Design.

I had seen these stamps in Craft Stamper (March 2010) & they really caught my eye,so I knew what I was looking for!!!
Here's the card at another angle,so you can see the embellies I used,the papers are PM Rose Garden & the die-cuts are with them,rest from stash.

This is what's on my window sill at the mo,2 stone heads,carved by my son (L) & hubby (R).

They are both Stone Masons & Paul is teaching Paul Jnr the ropes,so I think it's a fab 1st attempt,don't you?! & they have both sold,straight away!!!

Paul Jnr said they have to stay on my window sill cos they are protecting me!!! (more like he can't be bothered moving them,lol!!!)Until the new owner collects them.

Have to tell you my other news,I booked a holiday yesterday for me & Paul to go to Egypt (Sharm El Sheikh)for a week! We fly this Sunday,can't wait (to thaw out!!!).

Gonna try craft a bit today,but don't hold your breaths!!!

Pot Pourri...

Wellllllll,I managed to get some crafting done last night!!! I even shocked myself,LOL,it's been that long!
I used the fab Graphic45 papers that were on my desk on Wednesday.I altered the paper mache,Pot Porri box,wooden Letter Rack & wooden Perennial Calender.Lots of cutting,measuring,sticking & sanding,just how I like it!!! All the alterable items were bought from The Craft Barn,(luv there Altering section!!!).
All 3 items are now in the hallway,I'm keeping them!!!

Plenty of shopping & no crafting,thats what,LOL!!!

This is the pic of my desk for todays What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.
As you can tell by my lack of posting,my mojo has done one!!!
I have still been buying crafty stuff,but have no inclination to make anything,so annoying (have had a word with myself in the corner).
You can see a few of my ladybirds from my collection,on the shelf.The pink leopard print object to the top left corner,is a bingo board from Poundland that I altered.The brown box,btm left,is a paper mache pot pourri holder that needs decorating,the papers it's stood on are scrummy Graphic45 & what I found very very spooky is,this morning when I looked at them, the dark flowery paper is actually called......Pot Pourri! ;-O
There's also last weeks QVC buy,the Tim Holtz package & some paper pads & 2 craft mags.

If anyone finds my mojo,please send it back,TFL :o)xxx

GC44: Random Redhead Challenge - Birthday ...

Hi!!!
This is my card for the Random Redhead challenge over on Gingersnap Creations.They are celevrating their 1st birthday & would like to see birthday creations.
I used the stamps that were on my desk on the last post,they are Hero Arts Fancy Hats (LL781),so diddy & cute!!!
I coloured them with DI's,the paper is K&Co Lifes Journey,the rose stamp is PM Roses are Red,coloured with DI's & then Rock Candy Stickles smudged over with my finger.The metal tag is SU,the ticket is Tim Holtz.
The bow was made following Erika's fab tutorial on different ways to use ribbon,I luv it,it's called a Dior Bow.Thanx Erika for sharing.

Right gotta dash now I'm off to work & it's PAYDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's Wednesday again,so time to show what's on our Workdesk.
Last week was great, as it was my 1st time joining in on WOYWW.
Thankyou to everyone who dropped by & left such kind comments :o)x

Today I have been digging amongst my v old stamps,after visiting Hels blog & seeing her card with the luvly lady stamps.I knew I had some very similar so I blew the dust off these (really!) & inked them up.I also chose to emboss them for a change,hence the powder & heat gun.
The rose image I made before I went to bed last night.
Can you see my gorgeous Cath Kidston cowboy coffee mug?! my fave print,I have the messenger bag too.My mobile phone,is usually somewhere about,usually the other end of the house when it rings,lol!!!
I was asked last week what the white sloping thing was on my desk,it's from Ikea & it's to raise your work up,so it's easier to colour,etc.

Meet Rosie...

Isn't she luvly?!!!!!

I know some of you won't agree,but I have a thing for skulls (not real ones,crikey!!!) & have lots of them on clothing & accessories.

When I saw these paper mache ones over at The Craft Barn,I had to have them & started to think of what I could do with them,so I have done this one girly & trying to think of what to do with the mask now,hmmm.....!!!

I painted her with acrylic paint & then sealed with Mod Podge,the ribbon & flower are from my stash,her earrings are large diamante brads & her eyebrows are PM adhesive stones.

The trickiest bits were guessing where her earlobes would be for her earrings & then getting her blingy eyebrows straight,lol!!!

I hope you like her,I do,she is sat on my window sill now!!!

This is such good fun,over on Julia's blog she wants to see WOYWW!!!
This also gives me the chance to show you my new craft room,so above is my desk,I have just got back from a lil visit to The Range & bought a few things.Then there is the tissue box cover on the far left that I have been altering,the 2 wooden roses I have painted & inked gold,but they won't dry?! Must have done something wrong.There is my Craft Stamper mag,that I read from cover to cover!!!

My window sill is much more interesting,there's all sorts half finished on here!!!

This is my very useful storage unit that I got for my b'day last year.Can you see your clock on the wall Emma?!

These shelves were already up when we moved in,so they hold lots of stash too. The Quality Street tin is full of buttons btw!!!

This wall is full of my punches & stickles.There's my fab lil sewing machine too!

Gingersnap Creations #42~Spicy Supply~Lace/Fibers...

I have altered this old Sarabook that I had in my stash,forever.
It's for the Gingersnap Creations challenge,using lace & fibers.

I covered the book cover with Laura Ashley Love Song papers,(inside is gingham),all the lace & fibers are from my stash (HUGEEEE drawer full!!!).I sanded the edges of the paper,which is velvet flocked & then added an SU metal frame,the word"memories" is a very dodgy old rub on,that didn't work v well,but adds to the aged look,I think!!!

Hello,I've not been hiding,just had a cough & cold & been busy working!!!

I have made this card following the sketch over on A Spoonful Of Sugar challenge,I used a fantastic image by Chin-Chou Kuik,called Red Hearts,even though I have done her in aqua tones,LOL!!!
I luv these Sweet Pea stamps,so enjoyable to colour (used Copics & ProMarkers).Paper is the Aqua Paper Pack by Papermania,ribbon is Doodlebug,hearts are cut with Sizzix dies,rest from stash.

My orders for cards are keeping me busy at the moment with Valentines coming up,so doing my best to blog aswell.

I have altered this lil Heart trinket box & was wondering what to do with it & then popped over to Hels blog & her challenge on The Sunday Stampers is to use hearts this week!!!

I painted the box with Anita's Antique White acrylic paint,then distressed it with a gold ink pad,the paper is BG Origins,the heart with the bird in is the free stamp on this month's Craft Stamper mag,stamped with Brown Versacolour & embossed in clear powder.the paper lace round the edge was swiped with brown ink to match.

How cute is this stamp?!!!Awwww!!!
I have seen the Mabel Lucie Attwell stamps on blogs & in magazines & they kept shouting me,so I invested,LOL!!!They are from The Artistic Stamper.
I have almost copied the card that Hels Sheridan made in the January copy of Craft Stamper magazine.Fabulous,striking colour combo,luv it.
I bet Hels thinks I'm a stalker,after copying her grungepaper flowers yesterday & now her card!!!
I just really like her style & ideas,I'm harmless!!!

I just have to mention,I can't get a lot of blogs to open on Paul's laptop that I'm still using.When I open them,it freezes & then shuts everything down?! Not sure what that is,maybe not big enough memory or something.
I'm not being ignorant!!!

Hi!!!
I have made this card for this weeks ASFOS challenge,they want to see Hearts on our projects.
I have used this bautiful Sugar Nellie stamp that a friend gave me for Xmas (Thankyou sooo much xxx),she is perfect with the hearts on her dress,then there is the 2 punched hearts & then the fiskars border punch,ooo & the lil buttons!!! Think I got it covered!!!
The papers are the new PM Red Hot Pack,stunning,right up my street.I coloured the image with Copics & Promarkers,rest from stash.
I have a day off today & a good job too,we have got lots of snow,it was almost going yesterday & then it came down again.

Cute Card Thursday #94~All New!...

This card is for this weeks CCT challenge~All New!
You need to either use something "new" or create the card for a "new" occasion.
I chose a baby card & used some Anna Griffin kits I got years ago from QVC.I had just started crafting & luved the papers & stamps she was using on TV so ordered them & then sat looking at them dumb when they arrived!!! I didn't have a clue how to even stamp & just put them away, so when we moved & discovered them again,it was fab,they are like "new",& also fit this challenge!!! I just added pearls,pin & lace,rest are from the kits (x3).
I just had to do a rescue job on the clear alphabet stamps that are in the kits,I had hacked them to within an inch of their lives! I really didn't have a clue,LOL!!!
I'm working 12-4 today,so best go get ready.

We have got loads & loads of snow here in Halifax,West Yorkshire.
This morning,I walked to work (just over a mile away),but we weren't busy at all & all the other shops in town were closing,buses had stopped,so we went home,I walked all the way back again,it was a nice walk,I enjoyed it & everyone was surprised how quick I was,I thought I had walked slow too,LOL!!!
I'm ringing work first in the morning,in case I get there & nobody else does!

This afternoon I have also found out that my Nanna,who is in Florida for 5 weeks,has been in hospital for a week with Pneumonia,a heart problem,blood problem & is very poorly!
I have been soooo upset,but my Mum has rung her & spoken to my Nanna & it sounds like she is a little better.I just want her to come home now & hug her,bless her,she is due to fly next week (11th).
Come on Nanna,you can do it!

Can you believe it?!!!
At very long last,I am in my new craft room (will take some pics later!!!) & able to get to all my stash again,ohhhhh it feels gooooood!!!
I eased myself back in gently with this card,it's for a luvly girl who came to work with us for a few weeks whilst on a break home from Uni,but it's her last shift tomorrow,so I wanted to make her a lil card to remember us by.

Just wanted to pop in & say "hello",can't do much else still,lol!!!
Hope you are all ok & getting ready for xmas.
It was my work's xmas do last night,we went for a meal & some of the girls went on to pubs & clubs afterwards,but I was good & came home,I'm a bit too old for all that malarky!!!
I'm making some xmas cards at the mo,but it's taking forever,as I don't have a craft room yet,so working on any free surface,out of boxes & it's very off-putting,searching for stuff.
Not heard anything from the insurance yet about a replacement laptop,can't wait to be up & running again.
I will photo any cards I get made & put them on here,just to prove to you all,I am still crafting,lol!!!

Well,I'm nearly back!!!...

I know I told you all I was back,but I wasn't expecting to discover my laptop had been stolen!
We turned the house upside down,several times & then realised we had missing items from our cellar.The only people to go in there were some workmen we had in,in the first few weeks we moved in,but as we had no internet,we hadn't needed the laptop.
Paul had also been commenting that his tools were missing, as he was doing jobs around the house,so far a circular saw & a jigsaw!
It's an awful feeling,we had to report it to the police & the insurance,so hopefully it will be sorted soon.
I'm using Paul's laptop now,but all my images & photo's that were stored on mine have gone :o(
They also took the external hard drive,so I can't install the printer on Paul's,I'm all at 6's & 7's at the mo.
I have got some images coloured,so will try get by with them for now & hope to show something soon :o) xxx

Hello...I'm Back!!!...

I can't believe it has taken me 8 weeks to get back online!!!
We are all nicely settled in our bungalow & just adore living here,wow! what a difference to where we were living before,it's sooo peaceful & we have fab views,just bliss.
I have also got a job & work at New Look,part time,so lot's of changes.I like having crafting pennies & my wardrobe is looking fuller,lol!!! I have to take advantage of the 50% staff discount!!!
I hope you haven't all forgotten me,I will be getting round everyones blogs over the next few days.Hope all is well in Blogland :o)xxx

Both these cards are made following a sketch on the Stamping Bella blog.

I have made them for the girl at the Estate Agents,we used,she has been really helpful & as it has taken soooo long to sell our house,we have become friendly,so to say thankyou,I made her the top card using Sellabella,coloured with ProMarkers,papers are K&Co Madeline,corners are Quickutz die,rest from stash.

The second card is because she is also having a baby & has just found out it's a boy,so just wanted to wish her & the baby well.I used Mamabella stamp,coloured with ProMarkers,paper is Craft Creations,stars are Quickutz die,rest from stash.

We are moving on Tuesday (22nd),it feels strange now,bit sad,excited,scared,lots of things really.

We have ben informed that it can take up to 6 weeks for internet connection,so it looks like I might not be blogging for a while,but please don't abandon me,I will deffo be back!!!

I wonder where I'm gonna craft,not decided yet,hmmmm!!!!

Double Dutch Challenge #25~Back In Time...

This fortnights DD challenge is to choose 1 of the previous challenges (all are listed for you).I luv DD,they are sooo creative & have taught me so many ideas & all are easy to follow,so I chose the 1st ever challenge,Purses 'R' Us & this is it.
The gorgeous stamp was sent to me by Jilli (Thanx x),coloured her with ProMarkers,card is Bazzill,papers I'm not too sure about got them in a kit,think they are called Katelyn.I made lil journalling cards to go inside the pockets (see below).Fab challenge & has taken me ages!!!

Now,a lil tale about my lil doggie Badger (see pic below,he is rather handsome!!!).
Badger has been going mad down the side of the shed,that is next to the joining wall with next door,he is whining & running about like a looney,I started to think there was either a mouse or a rat in the shed (ewww!),until yesterday!...

I got out of my car on the drive & saw some eyes peeping at me from inside the Garden Waste bags,on next doors drive,lol!!!!
Yes,they have a cat (it's the most angriest looking cat I have ever seen!!!) & it must be warm & cosy in the bag with the grass cuttings.Badger must have been able to hear/smell the cat over the wall & cos he's so tiny he was going barmy to get to it.
Panic over no mouse/rat,Phew!!!

Just wanted to show you this clock I have just made for my daughter Holly's bedroom.
It started off as blank balsa wood,I used papers on the face & surround,diamante brads,peel-off numbers,pearl baubles,black glitter glue,prima flowers,leaves were made with my new McGill Fern punch.

This is my card for this weeks Just Magnolia Challenge,Friendship.

I took a few cards with me to the gym this morning,to show my friends what I do in my spare time & I sold some!!! The ones that were left,I was asked by one of the girls on the desk if I wanted to leave them to sell,I was really pleased.I might be a business woman soon,lol!!!

This is my lunch for today,made for me by my Hubby Paul,LOL!!!
Every night Paul makes his lunch for work the next day & makes me a salad at the same time & he designs me something new each day,as a bit of fun.Every time I open my salad I never know what is gonna be there,yesterday it was Noughts & Crosses shaped salad LOL!!! But I have to say this is my fave so far,a face made from an Edam Cheese slice with beetroot hair!!!
I just had to share it with you,it's just the small things that sometimes make you smile the most & to me this is romantic!!!

Have you ever won something that you really,really wanted?!

I have,LOOK!!!

I have to tell you first of all just how much I luv Heartwarming Vintage products,I could (& do)just sit looking at their goodies for hours & all the fab creations that are displayed on their blog.I know I sound like a stalker,but I can't help it,lol!!! Everything is so me,it is Vintage & cute & pretty &.......you see what I mean?! I just luv it all!!!

So a few weeks ago when Sandy & her team at HWV were heading of to CHA to launch their new Vintage Postcard Kits,I entered the draw on their blog to win all 4 sets & lo & behold I blinkin won,yup,me! I won & today the Postie has just delivered them,(I promise I didn't snatch & I said Thankyou!!! ;o) )

The top pic shows all 4 sets,the btm pic shows the contents of the "Storytime" kit,including a stamp set,6 large images,12 embellishments & 18 ivory chipboard pieces,WOW!!! & best of all 1 of the images is Alice in Wonderland ,who I luv,I'm in my element,truly I couldn't have wished for anything nicer.

I have stamped the image twice & used foam pads to create a 3d effect,also used flock & glitter on the wings.

I haven't made anything today,so I thought I would show you some cards I have been making for when we move.

I have used the gorgeous (& very appropriate) free stamp that came with this months Craft Stamper magazine.I used ProMarkers to colour & the papers are MME Bloom & Grow,sentiment stamp is Rubber Stampede,rest from stash.

I'm a bit stressed at the mo (again!!!),my son has hurt his hand at work & is going up to A&E shortly,he thinks it may be broken,he also lost his wallet last week with £180 in it,bless him,he is still cheesed off about that & now this happens.

The moving is coming along too,I have been packing again today & have got some of my furniture on ebay.I just seem to be chasing solicitors & estate agents to hurry them along,what do they get paid for?!!!

Off to make the tea now before I go to the gym,it's my Ballet Tone class tonight,teehee,I'm soooo girly,lol!!!

You know when you have an idea in your head about a card & then it turns out nothing like it,lol?! Well this is it!!!
I won this fab PB stamp on ebay (O'lanterns 2811K) & you know I like my Halloween stuff,so set about making this card,with the idea,it was gonna stay black & white,but no,I got the chalks out!!! Then I had to have a bow,then some bling & corners & faux stitching!!! It has ended up being quite busy!!!
This card is for Friday Sketchers challenge,I drew around a cereal bowl for the curved edge on my paper,which are SU,card is Bazzill,rest from stash.

Skin of my teeth again!!!
This card is for this weeks CCT challenge,they want you to create anything with a fruit theme.
I used a Pollycraft Twiddly Wings (set 2) download called "Fairy Cake",coloured her with ProMarkers,papers are K&Co Berry Sweet & so are the embellishments,corners are Quickutz die.
